Building Bridges
Project interacting with media practitioners to promote positive attitude change in the reporting of gender-related issues. SAMGI’s Racism and Xenophobia project works with communities of foreign nationals, male and female, in South Africa to empower them to work directly to change the discriminatory, and often violent, behaviours to which they are continually subjected. In addition, SAMGI provides groups with accredited and non-accredited training in journalism, computer literacy, design foundations, low-tech media generation, and citizen journalism.
